Karachi Board of Secondary Education has provided additional relief to matric students by extending the registration deadline for the 2025 matric exams. Updated Registration Period Announced

The new registration period, announced by the Karachi board, enables regular and private students, as well as those from government schools, to complete their exam registration forms without any late charges. Acting Director of Examinations Zaheeruddin Bhutto confirmed the extended submission window from November 6 through November 19, 2024.

No Further Extensions to Be Granted

This extension has been confirmed as the final opportunity for students to register on time. The board has coordinated with the provincial education department, expecting the 2025 matric exams to start in March. This deadline aims to keep preparations on track and prevent delays in the exam schedule.

Late Fees Applicable After November 19

Students who do not meet the November 19 deadline can still register, but with an escalating late fee structure:

November 20 – December 3, 2024: Rs. 500

December 4 – December 17, 2024: Rs. 800

December 18 – January 1, 2025: Rs. 1,200

January 2 – January 15, 2025: Rs. 1,500

January 16 – January 24, 2025: Rs. 1,800

After January 24, 2025: Rs. 2,500

While this additional time allows for fee-free registration, students and school administrators are strongly encouraged to submit applications within the extended deadline to avoid the increasing late fees. Missing the new deadline will result in progressively higher charges with each passing stage.
