Karachi Board HSSC Exams Proposed Rescheduling 2023

Karachi, Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has recommended a modification to the schedule of annual intermediate examinations starting from the following year. This proposal stems from the increasing threat of heatwaves during the months of May and June, which has raised concerns for the well-being of students. In a letter addressed to Syed Sardar Shah, Sindhs Education Minister, Prof. Saeeduddin, the Chairman of Intermediate Board Karachi, has suggested moving the annual examinations to April and May of next year. The objective behind this proposed change is to alleviate the potential hazards associated with heatwaves during May and June, as climate change continues to amplify their intensity.
The letter emphasizes the considerable difficulties faced by both students and administrators when conducting exams in the scorching heat of May and June. It highlights the adverse impact of such extreme weather conditions on the effectiveness of the examination process.
Prof. Saeeduddin has insisted the necessity of steering committee to consider the matter and accord the approval of rescheduling of inter exams during their upcoming meeting. Following their approval, the proposal will be presented to the relevant authority for final authorization.
It is important to note that the annual intermediate examinations for this year commenced on May 30 across Sindh, including Karachi, and will continue until 27-06-2023 in the allotted exams centers and the students will appear in the exams on the scheduled dates and time.
