Duration and Certification:

Eligibility Criteria:
Teachers nationwide, having a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in either Government or Private schools, are eligible to apply. Applicants should hold degrees from universities or teacher training schools and must have served as teachers at primary or secondary educational institutions or teacher training schools, excluding universities.
Application Process:
Prospective applicants, born on or after April 2, 1988, must possess a minimum Bachelors degree and 5 years of teaching experience by October 1, 2024. In-service university faculty members are ineligible. Apart from academic qualifications, candidates should demonstrate intellectual and psychological readiness for spending eighteen months in an international atmosphere, adapting to Japanese culture. Proficiency in the Japanese language is crucial, as courses are primarily conducted in Japanese. Japanese language training is provided by the host university before the program commences in October.

A crucial component of the application is a letter of recommendation from the principal of the applicants school. The application package, including the duly filled form, recommendation letter, and a brief statement of purpose, must be sent to the Public Affairs Section at the Embassy of Japan in Islamabad. Notably, medical forms and additional documents mentioned in the guidelines are not required at this initial stage.
