Islamabad Schools & Colleges Winter Break Revised Schedule

The Winter Vacation schedule for schools and colleges in Islamabad has been officially announced by the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education FDE. According to the FDEs notification, all educational institutions under its jurisdiction will observe winter vacations from December 25 to December 29, taking advantage of the weekend with December 30 and 31 being Saturday and Sunday. New Timings Implemented:

Responding to the in temperature, the FDE had previously adjusted the operating hours for schools and colleges in both urban and rural areas of Islamabad. The revised timings will remain effective until January 31, 2024.

Single-Shift Institutes:

For single-shift institutes, the new schedule involves operations from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with an early closure at 12:30 pm every Friday.

Double-Shift Institutes:

The FDE has communicated updated timings for double-shift institutes in the federal capital. The morning session runs from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, concluding at 12:30 pm on Fridays. The evening shift operates from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and the second shift commences at 2:30 pm on Fridays.
