Islamabad Revised School Timings Winter Season

Federal Directorate of Education FDE in Islamabad has introduced new timings for schools and colleges across both urban and rural areas of the city. This decision comes as a response to the recent in temperature following rain, and the revised timings officially came into effect on October 16. The students, teachers and parent will note Islamabad Revised School Timings Winter Season.
Timings for Single-Shift Institutes
As per the FDEs directive, single-shift educational institutions will be operational from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Fridays will see an earlier closure at 12:30 pm, allowing students and staff to begin their weekend a bit sooner.
Timings for Double-Shift Institutes
Double-shift schools have also had their schedules updated in the federal capital. The morning shift will now run from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with the same early Friday closure at 12:30 pm. The evening shift, on the other hand, will operate from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, also Monday through Thursday, while the second shift will start at 2:30 pm on Fridays.
Postgraduate Colleges Schedule
For postgraduate colleges, the operating hours have been set from 8:30 am to either 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm, allowing flexibility in their schedules to accommodate a variety of academic activities.
Widespread Winter Adjustments
These changes in school timings have been implemented to adapt to the changing weather conditions in Islamabad, and its worth noting that similar adjustments in school schedules are expected in other parts of the country as temperatures are forecasted to further.
Weather Outlook
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, regions including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, the Potohar region, and northeast Punjab are likely to experience rain, thunderstorms, and even snow in mountainous areas. Upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will see partly cloudy weather, while a significant portion of other regions, such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, and more, are anticipated to receive heavy rainfall.
