IBA Sukkur Offers Seven Steps to Improve MDCAT Exam Process

The Testing Agency Secretary at IBA Sukkur has reached out to the Sindh Health Secretary, proposing an urgent seven-point plan for the successful administration of the upcoming MDCAT exam. As the exam date approaches, the letter stresses the necessity of appointing key representatives from both the PMDC and Health Department. It also calls for a rapid online meeting involving IBA Sukkur, PMDC, relevant universities, and other key officials.
Following the Sindh High Courts directive issued on October 26, the MDCAT exam must be held within the next four weeks. With IBA Karachi opting out of conducting the test in Karachi, the Sindh Testing Service STS is now responsible for overseeing the exam across Sindh. However, the letter notes that STS will need court authorization for its expanded role.
The STS Secretary specified that a fee of Rs. 6,000 per candidate should be deposited into an official account at least 15 days prior to the exam date. Additionally, the letter requests timely access to candidate data from the PMDC portal and the establishment of a formal Memorandum of Understanding MoU with the Health Department.
It was emphasized that preparations for the exam will only commence upon receiving written approval from the Health Department. Any delay in fulfilling these requirements, the STS warns, could interfere with the MDCAT schedule, underscoring the importance of immediate action on each of the proposed steps.
