HEC USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarship

The Higher Education Commission HEC is dedicated to supporting financially disadvantaged students through the USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarship program MNBSP. This initiative specifically targets female candidates, providing them with access to Scholarship and Financial Aid opportunities. Over 5300 scholarships have been granted through HEC USAID MNBSP program, making a significant impact on empowering women in education. Eligibility Criteria:
Only Female Candidates are eligible to apply for the scholarship program in the session of 2021.
Students must be enrolled in one of the 30 partner Public and Private Universities.
Eligible candidates should be pursuing Masters, MBA, MS, MPhil, or Education Teaching degree programs in selected disciplines.
Female students must fulfill the criteria of need and provide all necessary information as per the rules.
Excluded Programs:
The scholarship does not cover two-year associate degree programs or BA/BSc programs.

The Needs-Based Scholarship program covers the following expenses:
Tuition Fee
Books
Boarding & Lodging
Transportation
Other Academic Costs
Application Process:
Candidates can apply directly through the HEC online system.
The application and required supporting documents should be submitted to the Financial Aid Office of the respective university. Do not send documents to HEC.

Selection Process:
The Institutional Scholarship Award Committee will handle the complete application process for the USAID-funded Merit and Need-Based Scholarship program. After the selection, the chosen candidates will be recommended to the HEC Scholarship Management Committee. The committee will review and approve eligible cases, after which the funds will be released to the respective universities for distribution to the selected candidates.
Ineligible Programs:
Admissions secured on a self-sustain/self-support/self-finance basis, or in evening programs with higher fee structures at public sector universities are ineligible.
