HEC & USAID Introduce Free MDCAT Prep Program for 2024

Higher Education Commission HEC, in collaboration with USAID, has launched a Talent Hunt Program THP to offer free preparation for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test MDCAT to deserving students. This initiative aims to support talented students from low-income backgrounds who aspire to higher education but cannot afford professional entry test preparation courses. Program Goals and Incentives

The THP is designed to identify and support exceptional male and female students with high Matriculation and FA/FSc scores. By providing comprehensive entry test preparation workshops, the program aims to help these students gain admission to leading medical, engineering, and general universities in Pakistan. Participants will also receive a daily allowance of PKR 1500/- for transport and meals.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the USAID Talent Hunt MDCAT Preparation program, applicants must:

•          Be citizens of Pakistan or AJ&K

•          Come from low-income families

•          Have achieved at least 70% in Intermediate Part-I or Part-II

Students interested in the program can apply online by following these steps:

•          Submit applications at https://talenthunt.hec.gov.pk/

•          The HEC Committee will review applications to verify eligibility.

•          A merit list will be compiled based on academic performance and financial need.

•          Offer letters will be issued to the highest-ranking candidates based on available slots.
