HEC SEE-Law 2024
The Higher Education Commission HEC will conduct the Special Equivalence Examination SEE-Law 2024 for law graduates from foreign universities, as instructed by the Honorable Supreme Court. Graduates from HEC/PBC-recognized foreign institutions must pass this exam before appearing for the Law Graduate Assessment Test LAW-GAT, which is necessary for enrollment in the Bar Council as an Advocate. The students can get fresh information that HEC Announces Special Equivalence Exams for Foreign Law Graduates SEE-Law 2024.
Eligibility and Application
Foreign law graduates with degrees recognized by the HEC/PBC and holding a Bachelors degree or equivalent can apply for SEE-Law 2024. The exam is scheduled for July 14, 2024. Interested candidates should apply online. Upon successful registration, candidates can download their Roll Number Slip from the HEC website. This slip will also be emailed to them one week before the test date. Notifications about the exam date, time, and venue will be sent via email/SMS.
Subjects and Exam Format
The SEE-Law 2024 will cover the following subjects:
Constitution of Pakistan
Civil Procedure Code
Criminal Procedure Code
Qanoon-e-Shahadat
Specific Relief Act
The test will consist exclusively of Multiple Choice Questions MCQs. It is tentatively scheduled for May 14, 2024. Any changes will be communicated through the HEC website.
Examination Centers
The test will be conducted in the federal and provincial capitals. Candidates can select their preferred center from the options provided in the application form. Note that once chosen, the test center cannot be changed.
Registration Steps for SEE-Law 2024
To register for the SEE-Law test:
Visit the registration link: HEC ETC.
For registration assistance, visit HEC, the HEC Secretariat, or contact regional HEC centers.
Submit your application online; only fully submitted applications will be considered.
Pay the test fee via 1Link 1Bill through participating banks, ATMs, Internet banking, mobile apps, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or UPaisa.
Verify the payment on the ETC dashboard.
Note that the test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
The registration deadline is June 30, 2024.
Additional Requirements
A minimum score of 50% is needed to pass the SEE-Law.
Applicants must meet additional criteria as per the Pakistan Bar Councils rules and regulations.
Candidates have up to three attempts to pass the exam.
The HEC will hold the examination twice a year, in February and August.
