HEC Extends Date to Apply for PhD Scholarship

Islamabad, Higher Education Commission Islamabad offers the scholarships to aspirants to pursue their PhD degree. The candidates can apply for the scholarships by sending their application forms. First, HEC fixed the deadline as 30 June but due to eid holidays, various students faced problems in sending their application forms and now last date has been extended to 10 July. The HEC scholarship for PhD students is granted in engineering and technology, management sciences, agriculture, business education, medical sciences, social sciences and physical sciences.
The candidates, who have passed their MS or MPhil degree or minimum 18 years of education, they can be eligible to apply for grant of scholarships for PhD programs. The candidates will have to obtain 50% marks in the aptitude test of HEC, then they will be considered eligible for grant of scholarship for the PhD classes. When the students are shortlisted, then they will be called for interview for the grant of scholarship.
The candidates, who will receive the scholarship for PhD, they will sign the written agreement to serve in the higher learning institute in Pakistan for at least 5 years after completing their education at the PhD level.
