HEC BS Scholarship Program 2024 for GB Students

The Higher Education CommissionHEC has announced the HEC Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2024 for students from Gilgit-Baltistan. This prestigious scholarship offers an incredible opportunity for students to pursue undergraduate studies in top Pakistani universities/institutions. The program is open to students intending to enrol in four or five-year BS programs at HEC-recognizedpublic sector universities/degree-awarding institutions DAIs for theacademic year 2024-25. The initiative, titled the "UndergraduateScholarship Program for the Students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Top PakistaniUniversities/Institutions Batch-IV," covers all fields of study and disciplines.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications by September 30, 2024,via the HEC portal. Its important to note that only online applications will be accepted; hard copies of the applications will not be entertained. Candidates are required to submit the application processing fee to the account through the official website: https://eportal.hec.gov.pk.

Coverageof the HEC GB Undergraduate Scholarship

The HEC UndergraduateScholarship covers the following expenses:

Tuition fee, hostel fee, and other charges up to a maximum of Rs. 240,000 per year.
A stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.
Books and traveling allowance of Rs. 30,000 per annum.

EligibilityCriteria for HEC Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

Hold a domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Have completed Secondary School Certificate SSC and Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent qualifications. Preference will be given to those who completed their SSC/HSSC from Gilgit-Baltistan.
Not be availing of any other scholarship.
Be under the age of 22 years as of the closing date of application submission.

ImportantNotes

Applicants will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Aptitude Test, conducted by the EducationTesting Council HEC, and their academic credentials. Candidates must score at least 50% marks on the test to qualify. Students already enrolled in any BS program at public sector universities/institutions before the advertisement up to one academic year/session are also eligible to apply. The scholarship will be awarded without discrimination based on gender, caste, race, or religion.
