HEC BS MS & PhD Programs Hungaricum Scholarship

The Higher Education Commission HEC Islamabad has introduced the fully funded Hungaricum Scholarships for Pakistani students pursuing undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. programs. This initiative falls under the Hungaricum Scholarship Programme 2024-25, launched by the Hungarian Government in collaboration with the Higher Education and Scientific Exchange Programme. Program Management:

Bachelors Degree after 12 years of education
One-Tier Masters Degree after 12 years of education
Masters Degree after 16 years of education
Ph.D. Degree after 18 years of education

Scholarship Benefits:

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship offers comprehensive benefits, including:

Tuition-free education
Monthly stipend for Bachelors and Masters HUF 43,700/- and Doctoral level HUF 140,000/- for the first phase and HUF 180,000/- for the second phase
Accommodation in the form of a dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month
Medical insurance covering health care services as per Hungarian legislation

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the HEC Hungaricum Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan/AJ&K.
Age: Between 18-22 years for undergraduate programs and not exceeding 35 years for postgraduate Masters and Ph.D. programs.
Education: Completion of the required years of education for the respective degree.
Tests: Valid HAT or USAT tests for application.

Application Process:

To apply for the HEC Hungaricum Scholarship, follow these steps:

Submit online applications on both the Hungarian and HEC websites.
Keep records of submitted documents and printed copies of both application forms.
At a later stage, submit hard copies along with attested photocopies of original documents, medical certificate, and police clearance certificate.

Important Notes:

Certificates and documents must be attested by relevant authorities.

IELTS/TOEFL scores are required where applicable.
A medical certificate demonstrating satisfactory health condition is mandatory.
Successful candidates must submit a bond agreement to HEC, committing to their return to Pakistan after completing the degree.
