HEC Best University Teacher Awards 2018

According to announcement by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) the universities and degree awarding institutes can submit their nominations by 31st August 2018 for the ‘Best University Teacher Award 2018’.
HEC provides these awards annually in which universities and degree awarding institutes from all around the country are asked to submit the names of 2 best teachers of their institutes for the award of best teachers.
It was told by an official of HEC that the purpose to distribute Rs. 1 lakh award and certificate to the teachers is to encourage them to perform well in future also. Through this program, it is also known about the performance of institute regarding quality of research and better facilities. This provides assistance to both institutes and teachers also.
VC of the concerned university will head the selection committee that will suggest the name of best teacher. Other members of the committee will be head of department of the related faculty, Director Office of research, innovation & commercialization (ORIC), director quality enhancement cell, registrar and dean of the related faculty.
This selection committee will send the names of two best teachers and also their required documents ahead.
