Govt Seriously Thinking to Reopen Schools

The federal government has announced that they are thinking over the matter regarding the reopening of the government and private schools so that the education of the students will be maintained during the academic year. The government is thinking to prepare the standing operating procedures for the schools to open and start providing education to the students. For this purpose, the federal government is seeking suggestions from other provincial government including AJK and Gilgit Baltistan government to finalize the SOPs for the schools. When the federal government will finalize the SOPs, they will be shared with the provincial government to implement in the schools of their province and the educational institutes will have to implement it in true letter and spirit in order to protect the precious lives of the students and teachers. A survey was conducted in this regard and about 70% of parents showed their willingness to send their children to the schools under these SOPs. The students will be called in the schools in three phases. The students of 9th and 10th classes will be called during the first phase and in the second phase, the students from 5th to 8th classes will be called in the schools. In the third and last phase, the students of the remaining classes will be called to attend their classes. The duration of the schools will be only 3 hours and the compulsory subjects will be taught to the students.
