Government of Sindh College Education Department: Admission Notice for Bachelor Degree Programs 2024-25
The Government of Sindh, through the College Education Department, invites applications from students domiciled in Sindh for admission to various undergraduate degree programs across multiple universities and colleges. These admissions are for seats reserved for Sindh students in institutions located in other provinces and Azad Jammu & Kashmir AJK. The admissions are open for the academic session 2024-25.
Programs and Eligibility
Category-A Engineering Side
For engineering programs, eligible candidates must have completed their Intermediate/F.Sc exams in Pre-Engineering with the following minimum marks:
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun: 50% marks required.
University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar: 50% marks required.
Baluchistan University of Engineering & Technology, Khuzdar: 50% marks required.
GC University, Lahore: 50% marks required.
Category-B Non-Engineering Side
For non-engineering programs, eligibility criteria vary depending on the program. Some of the key programs include:
University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Muzaffarabad: Programs in Sociology, Environmental Science, International Relations, and more. Minimum grade requirements and specific seats are detailed below:
BS in Environmental Science: 50% marks in Intermediate.
BS in Sociology: 50% marks in Intermediate.
BS in International Relations: 50% marks in Intermediate.
GC University, Lahore: Programs in Education, Political Science, and Social Work with a minimum grade requirement of 50%.
University of Sargodha: Programs including Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry, requiring at least 50% marks in Intermediate.
Application Process
Application Form: Students should download the application form from the Sukkur IBA University website www.iba-suk.edu.pk and complete it meticulously.
Documents Required:
Attested copies of Intermediate mark sheets.
Domicile and PRC Form-C of Sindh.
Two passport-sized photographs.
CNIC/B-Form of the applicant.
Proof of passing Intermediate/HSC/F.Sc exams from Sindh or other provinces.
Submission:
Applications should be submitted by hand or through courier to the Deputy Manager Admissions at Sukkur IBA University, near Ahmed Siddiqui Road, Sukkur.
The deadline for submission is September 25, 2024.
Entry Test: An entry test for both Engineering and Non-Engineering categories will be conducted at DJ Sindh Government Science College, Karachi, on September 29, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Maximum age for admission to the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir is 22 years.
Previous Academic Performance: Students who passed their Intermediate exams in 2022, 2023, and 2024 are eligible. Students awaiting results are also encouraged to apply.
Deductions: There will be a 5% deduction in marks for each year of delay beyond the academic year of completion.
Important Notes
Fee Responsibility: Students admitted under this quota will be responsible for their own university/college fees as the Government of Sindh will not cover these costs.
Changes in Seats: The College Education Department reserves the right to alter, cancel, or add to the number of seats without prior notice.
