The dialogue during these meetings also explored various upcoming initiatives, including specialized teacher workshops on leveraging Google for Education tools, the establishment of a flagship Google Reference School, and the provision of job-ready skills training to 2,000 youths through Google Career Certificates. Google remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering women in Pakistan. On the occasion of International Womens Day, Google reiterated its dedication by unveiling programmes designed to narrow gender disparities in the workforce. Notably, the Google Career Certificates programme, launched in Pakistan in 2022, reserved 50% of its scholarships exclusively for women. This initiative saw the distribution of 44,500 scholarships in 2023, with an additional commitment of 45,000 new scholarships for 2024, aimed at empowering a greater number of female learners.

Promoting Journalism and News Accessibility

Additionally, Googles News Initiative GNI has joined forces with local partners to train aspiring journalists, with a particular focus on providing women with valuable reporting experience.
