FDE Summer Holidays Announced Across Islamabad

Federal Directorate of Education FDE has released a circular declaring summer vacations for all Islamabad-based schools. According to the notice, educational institutions under FDE’s supervision will remain closed from June 1 to August 1, 2025, and will resume academic activities on Monday, August 4, 2025. Ahead of the break, new school hours for single-shift institutions have been set from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, starting May 26. For schools operating on a double shift, the administration has been asked to revise the second shift’s schedule accordingly. Punjab Announces Early Holidays in Response to Severe Heatwave
Owing to the intensifying heatwave, the Punjab government has decided to start summer vacations earlier than usual. All public and private schools across punjab will be closed from May 28 through August 14. The decision came after deliberations with the School Education Department and related authorities and has been formally communicated through an official announcement.
Sindh Sets Summer Vacation Period from June to July
Authorities in Sindh have also announced summer break plans for all educational institutions, both public and private. Schools in the province will observe holidays from June 1 to July 31, offering students and teachers a much-needed pause during the hottest months of the year.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the summer vacation period will span from June 1 to August 31, the longest break among the provinces. This extended holiday is designed to protect students and educational staff from the intense summer climate and to ensure a safe return to school in early September.
