Engineering Programs Admissions 2025 open in PU

The University of the Punjab, Lahore, invites prospective students to appear in the PU Admission Test—a mandatory requirement for applying to undergraduate programs for the academic year 2025–2026.
The PU Admission Test is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, 15th June 2025. All students intending to apply for admission must register and appear in the test.
Who is Eligible to Apply:
Candidates are eligible for the PU Admission Test if they meet one of the following criteria:
Have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent Grade 12 qualification.
Have appeared in their final HSSC or equivalent exams and are currently awaiting results.
Note: The PU Admission Test carries 25% weightage in the overall admission merit calculation.
Program-Specific Guidelines
Engineering Programs
For admissions to the following B.Sc. Engineering programs, the PU Admission Test is compulsory, in accordance with Pakistan
Engineering Council PEC regulations:
Chemical Engineering
Energy Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Metallurgy & Materials Engineering
Industrial Engineering & Management
Scores of E-CAT UET or NUST Entry Test will also be accepted.
LLB Program
Applicants must appear in both:
Law Admission Test LAT, and
PU Admission Test
College of Art & Design
Applicants must take:
The PU Admission Test, and
A separate Drawing/Aptitude Test, conducted by the College of Art & Design
Doctor of Pharmacy Pharm-D
Admission can be secured through:
MDCAT, or
PU Admission Test
Important: Results from previous years PU Admission Tests are not valid for 2025–2026 admissions.
Registration Deadline
Last Date to Register Online: 26th May 2025
Candidates must register via the University’s official admission portal.
