Empowering Punjabs Youth: The Honhaar Scholarship
The Chief Ministers Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program for the academic year 2023-24, initiated by the Government of Punjab, aims to support merit-based students pursuing undergraduate degrees. This program targets students from the 3rd to 8th semester for universities/HEIs and from the 2nd to 5th year for MBBS/BDS programs, fostering academic excellence among those with limited financial resources.
Institutions eligible for this scholarship include Public Sector Universities of Punjab Province, HED Colleges offering BS degree programs, and Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges. The scholarship provides approximately 20,000 scholarships annually, covering tuition fees to ensure students can focus on their studies without financial strain.
To be eligible, applicants must be domiciled in Punjab, come from a family with an income less than Rs. 300,000 per month, and be enrolled in selected disciplines at recognized institutions. The minimum CGPA requirement varies by field: 70% equivalent for Science and Arts, 60% for Medical and Dental programs.
