Educational Opportunity: Scholarships for Kashmiri Students

Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan is offering scholarships for Azad Kashmir and Jammu & Kashmir refugee students. These scholarships are aimed at supporting students pursuing education in recognized institutions in Pakistan and AJ&K for the year 2023. Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be nominated by the Ministry, Secretary, Nomination Board of AJ&K, or have obtained admission on general merit basis. They must be enrolled between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. Scholarships will be granted based on reserved quotas for A.K. Nationals/J&K Refugees and merit, specifically in designated disciplines.

Eligible Fields:

The scholarship covers various fields including MBBS, BDS, DVM, B.Sc Engineering/IT, B.Sc Honors Agriculture, B.Com/BBA, Polytechnic, and Pharmacy.

Application Process:

Applicants must submit attested copies of their State Subject Certificate/Domicile/Marks Sheets, NCC Certificate, etc., along with the application form. Only students with a minimum of 50% marks in their last examination are eligible. Incomplete or late applications, as well as those with any misstatement, will be rejected. Any tampering with application entries or certificates will result in disqualification. Certificates will be verified, and legal action will be taken against those involved in forgery.

Renewal and Additional Information:

Students currently receiving stipends need not reapply; their stipends will be renewed upon submission of progress/promotion reports. Applications for fields other than those specified will not be considered. Applicants are advised to use the prescribed form available on the KA&GB Divisions website and ensure timely submission via registered post before the deadline of May 31, 2024.
