Educational Institutes Soft Drinks Ban

Punjab Food Authority banned the provision of the soft drink in the educational institutes and the action will be taken on this decision for putting ban on the supply of the soft drinks in the schools from 14th August.
The PFA authority not only put ban on the sale of the soft drinks but also barred the manufacturer and the suppliers to supply the soft drinks to the canteen, shopkeepers and the drink corners, which are situation within the reach of 100 m of the educational institutes. The DG of PFA said that strong ban put on the manufacturers and suppliers, who breach the ban. Over 120 countries of the world imposed the ban on the provision of soft drink, which is considered harmful and it can leave the adverse effect on the health of the children as it can ruin the health of the children.
Punjab Educational Societies Food Standard Regulation 2018
The scientific panel of PFA devised the regulation, which is called Punjab Education Societies Food Standard Regulation 2018 and they labeled the school supplies under the red, yellow and green categories.
Under this regulation, the PFA did the detailed analysis in the PFA labs and they did the consultation with the scientists all over the world and they added the soft drink in the red level. The experts said that the ban should be imposed compulsorily around the world. The DG of PFA said that the board provides full support to the comprehensive operation all over the province and they have devised the special operation teams to carry out the effective implementation of the situation. They have formed 701 special operation teams to monitor and implement the orders of the ban.
