Diploma in Information Technology at STEVTA 2024
The Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority under the Government of Sindh, has opened admissions for the highly anticipated 1-Year Diploma in Information Technology DIT program. This initiative is designed to equip both male and female students with essential IT skills, offering morning and evening classes to accommodate various schedules.
Program Structure:
The DIT program is structured into two semesters, each spanning six months. The curriculum is crafted to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both foundational and advanced IT concepts, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of the modern job market.
Semester 1:
Introduction to Information Technology IIT: Students will begin with a fundamental overview of IT concepts, setting the stage for more specialized learning.
Microsoft Office: Proficiency in essential tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet usage is a key focus, ensuring students can effectively use these applications in various professional settings.
Networking Essentials Using Windows Server 2012: This module introduces the basics of networking, with hands-on experience in setting up and managing networks using Windows Server 2012.
Programming Concepts Using C: Students will learn the basics of programming through the C language, one of the most widely used programming languages in the world.
Web Development/Programming: An introduction to web technologies, this course covers the essentials of creating and managing websites.
Live Projects: Practical experience is emphasized through live projects, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world scenarios.
Semester 2:
System Analysis and Design: This module covers the methodologies and tools used in analyzing and designing systems, a crucial skill for IT professionals.
E-Commerce: Students will explore the world of electronic commerce, learning about the technologies and strategies behind successful online businesses.
Java Programming: Building on their programming knowledge, students will delve into Java, a versatile and widely used programming language.
Visual Basic and SQL: This course introduces students to Visual Basic programming and SQL, essential tools for database management and application development.

Admissions are based on a first-come, first-served basis, with a minimum educational qualification of Matriculation or an equivalent. Prospective students are encouraged to act quickly to secure their place in this sought-after program.
Application Process:
Interested candidates can collect and submit their admission forms at the Vocational Training Center Institute Management Committee IMC between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. The process is designed to be straightforward, ensuring that applicants can easily complete their submissions.
