Dalda Foundation Scholarship Initiative 2024
The Dalda Foundation is pleased to announce Dalda Foundation Scholarship Initiative 2024, designed to assist underprivileged and deserving students in their educational pursuits. This scholarship program aims to provide financial support to those who face challenges in continuing their education due to economic hardships. The initiative will cover students starting from their first year of Intermediate and will extend through to the final semester of their Bachelor’s or Undergraduate programs.
Emphasis on Future-Proof Fields
The Dalda Foundation recognizes the growing demand for certain academic disciplines and intends to prioritize applicants seeking admission in these areas by providing them additional consideration during the selection process. Interested students can apply for the scholarship through the Dalda Foundation’s website. The application deadline has been extended to October 30, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements for the 2024 Dalda Scholarship
To qualify for the Dalda Scholarship, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Must be permanent residents of Pakistan.
- Should not exceed 19 years of age as of August 20, 2024.
- Parental income must not be greater than Rs. 5,000/- per month.
- Applicants homes should be no larger than 1080 sq. ft. This requirement does not apply to those living in rural settings.
- O-Level candidates are welcome to submit their applications.
- Students from any recognized educational board in Pakistan, including BISE Punjab, Karachi, or FBISE, may apply if they achieve the following marks in their Matriculation exams:
Required Percentage Criteria
- Pre-Engineering: 80% or higher
- Pre-Medical: 80% or higher
- General Science: 80% or higher
- Commerce: 75% or higher
- ICS: 70% or higher
- Arts: 70% or higher
- Home Economics: 70% or higher
- DAE: 70% or higher
Continuity of the Scholarship Program
To retain the scholarship throughout their academic tenure, students must adhere to the following performance standards:
- First Year of Professional College: At least 80% marks for Pre-Medical/Pre-Engineering, 75% for Commerce, and 70% for Home Economics in the 12th grade, with successful admission to a professional college.
- Second Year of Professional College: Must pass the first year of their professional studies.
- Third Year of Professional College: Successful completion of the second year.
- Fourth Year of Professional College: Completion of the third year.
- Fifth Year of Professional College: Successful completion of the fourth year of MBBS, BDS, D-Pharm, DPT, or DVM programs.
Selection Methodology for Dalda Scholarship
The selection will be strictly based on merit, involving a written examination followed by an interview conducted by officials from the Dalda Foundation. Only the most deserving candidates will receive the scholarship.
