CSS Passing Rate Results in Vacant of Huge Posts
Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat came to know about the number of vacant seats in various ministries and department at the civil officers positions. The Committee inquired the situation and it was found that there are 231 vacancies in these department as the success rate of CSS exams is ped by 80% during the last 27 years. Going deep in the situation, it was revealed to the Committee that most of the posts of the minorities and women are vacant as the competent candidates from both segments are rare so FPSC faces difficulty in finding the qualified and competent candidates on these posts. The statistics of the vacant posts show that 43 posts in rural Sindh and 24 in the Urban Sindh are vacant, 63 in Baluchistan, 52 in Punjab and 23 in KPK province are still vacant. There are 18 in erstwhile KPK, 6 in AJK and 2 in GB provinces are still looking for the appointment of the most suitable candidates.
FPSC informed the Committee that they are going to administer the Special CSS exams 2023 for the appointment of the qualified candidates to fill these positions. It is rightly said by the concerned quarters that the quality of education is substandard it needs improvement. The success rate of CSS exams during 1995 was 10% and now it has been reduced to 2%, which is an alarming situation for the education sector. Now Committee has issued orders to FPSC to forward the report within 15 days on the Special CSS exams.
