Consensus on Opening of Education Institutes in September

Islamabad, The Inter Provincial Education Ministers Conference are agreed to reopen the schools, colleges and universities during the month of September. Consensus on Opening of Education Institutes in September.

On the issue of the closing of the educational institutes because of the COVID-19, the Federal Education Minister presided over the meeting, in which the education ministers of all four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan attended the meeting through video link. All the provinces presented their suggestions and it was considered to open the educational institutes under the precautionary measures (SOPs).

During this meeting, the consensus was developed in the educational institutes to open the educational institutes during t he first week of September under strict SOPs and it was also decided to take the professional exams. It was also decided to conduct two meetings before 01 September, in which further details were settled. After the consultation of the provinces, the suggestions will be sent to the national coordination committee and the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) will accord the final approval of the reopening of the schools, colleges and universities.
