CMs Honhaar Talent Scholarship for BS Students

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the registration process for the Honhaar Talent Scholarship Program is now open. This scholarship initiative aims to align with the evolving global job market and will provide financial assistance to 30,000 students annually across 68 academic fields. The scholarships will be offered to students studying in 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges under this prestigious program. The Honhaar Merit Scholarship will also be available to students attending top private universities, including LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, and several others. The deadline to apply for this scholarship has been extended to October 18, 2024.

Financial Support for Students

A total of Rs. 130 billion will be disbursed over eight years through the Honhaar Scholarship Program, benefiting 120,000 students in the first four years. The program aims to eliminate financial barriers, allowing talented individuals to access higher education opportunities without worrying about costs.

Eligibility Criteria for the Honhaar Scholarship

To be eligible for the Honhaar Talent Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Possess a valid domicile from any district within Punjab
Be 22 years of age or younger as of the application deadline
Have a family income of less than Rs. 300,000 per month affidavit required
Be enrolled in approved disciplines at selected universities or colleges for the fall 2024 session
Newly enrolled MBBS and BDS students for 2024 are also eligible

Minimum marks requirements:

Medical Colleges: Above 80%
Top Universities: Above 80%
Public Sector Universities: Sciences above 75% and Arts/Social Sciences above 70%
Higher Education Department HED Colleges: Sciences above 65% and Arts/Social Sciences above 60%
