Cambridge IGCSE & O-Level Results 2023

Cambridge International has officially revealed the results for Cambridge IGCSE and O-Level examinations to more than 60,000 students in Pakistan today, as stated by CIE. These qualifications are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to take the next steps in their educational journey. Cambridge International, a not-for-profit entity and part of the prestigious University of Cambridge, is the worlds largest provider of international education programs and qualifications for individuals aged 3 to 19. The organization has recently disclosed the outcomes of its June 2023 examination series to over half a million students globally over the past week.

This year marked the largest-ever examination series by Cambridge International, encompassing 1.7 million entries for Cambridge exams across 5,600 schools in 147 countries. This represents an 11% increase compared to June 2022.

The statement highlighted the challenges faced by students in Pakistan due to disruptions caused by the pandemic and subsequent examination cancellations. However, despite these hurdles, students managed to achieve the qualifications necessary for their educational advancement. Their accomplishments reflect their diligence, determination, and unwavering support from their teachers and families.

Notably, over 210,000 entries were recorded for the Cambridge IGCSE and O-Level examinations during the June 2023 series in Pakistan, indicating a 4% rise from June 2022. Among the most popular subjects were Islamiyat, English Language, and Pakistan Studies.

Rod Smith, Group Managing Director, International Education at Cambridge, commended the students for their hard work and resilience in achieving these results. He emphasized that these qualifications will empower students to confidently face future opportunities.

Uzma Yousuf, Country Director, Pakistan, Cambridge International, extended her congratulations to the accomplished students and their families, acknowledging their perseverance in the face of uncertainty. She also recognized the dedication of teachers in guiding students towards success.

Cambridge International has been gradually restoring the standards of its qualifications to the pre-pandemic level of 2019. The 2023 standard has now returned to this level, with considerations made for the pandemics impact on setting grade boundaries. This ensures that a student who would have achieved a certain grade before the pandemic is equally likely to attain the same grade in 2023.

With over 750 schools in Pakistan offering Cambridge programs and qualifications, the organization remains committed to maintaining educational excellence and aiding students on their academic journey.
