Cambridge Exams 2025 Full Marks for Leaked Questions

Members of a subcommittee under the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Education have raised serious concerns over Cambridge Assessment International Education’s CAIE handling of a recent exam leak incident affecting O and A Level students. The meeting, presided over by MNA Sabheen Ghoury, was convened on Monday to examine CIE’s internal findings related to the issue. Lawmakers Criticize Cambridge Over Incomplete Findings in Exam Leak Investigation
During the briefing, CAIE officials — including their Country Director, Uzma Yousuf — confirmed that portions of three exam papers were indeed leaked ahead of time. These included a question from AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 12, parts of two questions from Paper 42, and a section from Computer Science Paper 22. Despite these revelations, CAIE maintained that there was no indication the entire papers were released before the exams.
As a measure to support students, Cambridge announced that it would award full marks for the impacted questions. However, committee members expressed dissatisfaction with the report, pointing out its failure to identify the source of the leaks or provide clarity on how the breach took place.
MNA Sabheen Ghoury stressed that students deserve justice and transparency. She urged Cambridge to directly engage with students and parents before the committee reconvenes on June 30. Although she noted that a full retake is not being proposed, she insisted that those who voluntarily choose to sit the exams again in October should not be asked to pay any additional fees. Final recommendations from the subcommittee will be submitted to the main committee in due course.
