Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Expanded to Include HSSC Students

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program now extends to higher secondary education. Students from grades 6 through 10 will receive quarterly education stipends. The Benazir Income Support Program BISP Board has approved the addition of first and second-year intermediate students to the Wasila Education Program. These students will receive Rs 3,500 per quarter for boys and Rs 4,000 per quarter for girls. Additionally, matriculation students will be given a quarterly stipend of Rs 3,000. Detailed Stipend Information
All eligible students from primary through 12th grade will receive quarterly scholarships. Upon completing primary education, students will receive a graduation stipend of Rs 3,000. The Ehsaas Education Quarterly Stipend for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program is outlined as follows:
For Girls:
• Primary: Rs 2,000
• Secondary/Matric: Rs 3,000
• Higher Secondary/Intermediate: Rs 4,000
For Boys:
• Primary: Rs 1,500
• Secondary/Matric: Rs 2,500
• Higher Secondary/Intermediate: Rs 3,500

Eligibility and Registration Process
Children eligible for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program must be from families actively receiving BISP Kafalat benefits. The age requirements are:
• Primary Education: 4-12 years
• Secondary Education: 8-18 years
• Higher Secondary Education: 13-22 years
To enroll, students must be admitted to a school or college in Pakistan. Parents should visit an enrollment camp or field office with the following documents:
• Beneficiary’s CNIC
• B-form/CRC issued by NADRA
• School/college admission slip with class and institution details verified by a teacher
Since the programs inception, 12.01 million children have been enrolled. The breakdown includes 9,306,324 primary students, 2,406,859 secondary students, and 297,661 higher secondary students. To date, BISP has disbursed Rs 63.34 billion under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program.
