In response to the upcoming session of the Balochistan Assembly, the district administration of Quetta has announced the closure of schools. This decision was made in light of the scheduled oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected Members of the Provincial Assembly MPAs on Wednesday, February 28. Assembly Session summoned on 28 Feb
A notification issued by the Deputy Commissioners office confirmed the closure, citing the imperative nature of the assembly session. Governor Abdul Wali Kakar has officially summoned the assembly meeting, scheduled to convene at 3 pm on February 28.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected members will be presided over by Speaker Jan Jamali. Notably, the recent elections saw the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam F JUI-F emerge as the joint single-largest party alongside the Pakistan Peoples Party PPP in Balochistan
