AIOU Registration of Prisoners

Allama Iqbal Open University is providing distant learning programs from matric class to the higher level classes in the number of programs. Now the university administration has decided to enhance the education process to the prisoners, in all of the big and small jails across Pakistan. The education from matric to BA program will be free to all of the prisoners and the main aim of the education to the prisoner is that they can become responsible and skilled person of the society and they can earn their own living quite successfully.
AIOU provides the admission forms and prospectus to the prisoners free of cost and other material is also provided to the students so that they can study these books and get prepared their papers. The candidates can submit their admission forms till the last date of 28 September 2018. The management of the university held some meetings with the management of the jail. The VC of the university held the meetings with the management of jail across Pakistan. They worked out the complete process for managing the tutorial meetings, workshops and the exams within the premises of the jail and the education is being provided to the prisoners.
The VC of the university wrote the letters to the IGs of the prisons of the 4 province for having the support and implements this program and gets the desired results. He asked the IGs prisons to circulate the information to the jails located in their provinces to inspire for free education to the prisoners, which will be provided for their better future and they can become responsible person of the society. When they get education and other skills, they can start their working soon after releasing from the prison.
