Advance Fee Practices Prohibited in Private Schools

Sindh Education Department has issued a directive barring private schools from demanding advance or additional fees outside the designated schedule. This action, led by Additional Director Rafia Javed, seeks to alleviate financial strain on families while ensuring schools operate within established rules. The students can get fresh updates of Advance Fee Practices Prohibited in Private Schools.
Fee Policy Circular Issued by Authorities
Acting on the guidance of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the Directorate of Inspection and Private Institutions has released a circular outlining new fee collection protocols. These changes align with the Steering Committee’s decisions, which set April 1, 2025, as the start date for the 2025-26 academic session. Furthermore, matriculation exams are scheduled to begin on March 15, 2025.
Timeline for Fee Collection Adjusted
To provide financial relief, private schools are instructed to collect tuition fees for matriculation students only until April 2025. For students progressing from pre-primary to Class IX and those advancing to Class X, the fees for June and July 2025 should be collected during April and May 2025, respectively.
Separate Vouchers for Monthly Payments
The circular also specifies that fee vouchers must be issued separately for each month. For instance, vouchers covering June 2025 should remain valid until June 30, 2025, and those for July 2025 until July 31, 2025. This approach aims to enhance transparency and accountability in fee collection practices.
Strict Compliance Required
All private school principals and administrators in Sindh are required to comply with these regulations. Non-adherence will result in severe penalties, according to the notice. The implementation of these guidelines is effective immediately and is mandatory for all privately managed schools across the province.
