Adjusted School Timings in Punjab Due to Heatwave

In response to the intense heatwave, the School Education Department of the Government of Punjab has issued new school timings. This notification provides guidelines for both public and private schools in the region. The students can get fresh information of Adjusted School Timings in Punjab Due to Heatwave.

Revised Schedule for Schools

Starting from May 18 and continuing until May 31, all educational institutions in Punjab will observe the following schedule: from Monday to Thursday and on Saturdays, schools will be open from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM. On Fridays, the hours will be shortened to 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Essential Heatwave Precautions

To ensure the well-being of students, the following precautions are mandated:

•          All ceiling fans in schools must be functional.

•          Water coolers must be available to provide fresh drinking water.

•          Students must not be seated in outdoor areas during school hours to prevent exposure to extreme heat.

These measures aim to mitigate the effects of the heatwave on students and create a safer, more comfortable learning environment.
